4th of July is one of my favorite holidays of the year. Celebrating America’s birthday with a warm summer night, bbq and fireworks with a fun, patriotic get together is something I look forward to. This year’s 4th of July Party was no different!
 
Using the traditional color scheme of red, white and blue, I created a tablescape for a buffet. Two centerpieces – one larger, one smaller – were accented by various size paper rosettes on the back wall and hanging lanterns from the ceiling. The centerpieces were created utilizing decor items found at Pier One.
 
Burgers, brats and steak cooked on the grill were the main course of the party, so the table was filled with yummy appetizers, desserts and drinks for guests to enjoy. The drink of choice for the evening was sangria made with a my family recipe. Simple, sweet and delicious! As an appetizer, we had an array of Wisconsin cheeses accompanied by crackers. As a side dish for the entrees, we offered a basic house salad and Pop Chips. For dessert, I baked cupcakes topped with buttercream frosting all made from scratch using a recipe given to me by my aunt (a baker).
